Does CoachLink USA guarantee I will hear back from a coach?
No. CoachLink USA does not guarantee any communication, response, or recruitment from any college coach or program. The platform provides tools to help you understand where your film projects at the college level and gives you templates to reach out — but whether a coach responds is entirely up to them.
What does the film evaluation actually tell me?
A real college coach reviews your Hudl highlights and scores you across five categories — Athleticism, Technique, Production, Football IQ, and Measurables. You receive a composite score, a recommended division range (FBS through JUCO), three specific strengths, and three areas to improve. It is an honest, independent assessment of your film — not a guarantee of any outcome.
Will coaches on the platform see my profile or contact me?
CoachLink USA is an athlete-initiated outreach platform. Coaches do not browse athlete profiles or reach out to you through the app. You use the platform to find coaches at programs that fit your level and initiate contact yourself via email or Twitter / X. All outreach originates from you.
What are the email templates and how do I use them?
CoachLink USA provides pre-written email templates (initial contact, follow-up, and camp/visit inquiry) that auto-fill your name, position, graduation year, stats, and evaluation score. You review and send them directly from your own email account. The templates are a starting point — you are encouraged to personalize them before sending.
Is the film evaluation done by a real coach?
Yes. Evaluations are completed by coaches with college football experience. However, evaluators are independent contractors and their assessment reflects their professional opinion based on the film you provide. Results may vary based on film quality, available footage, and individual evaluator perspective.
Can I get a refund on the film review?
Because each film review requires a coach to invest time reviewing your specific footage, film review purchases are non-refundable once the evaluation has been completed. If you have concerns before your evaluation is delivered, contact us and we will do our best to help.
What happens to my subscription if I cancel?
When you cancel, your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to a free account. You will not be charged again and you can re-subscribe at any time.

To preserve the integrity of the evaluation process and protect our coaches, athlete-facing reports do not include the evaluating coach's name, school, contact information, or any other personally identifying details. Athletes receive only the coach's general coaching level and conference. Attempts to identify, contact, or solicit evaluating coaches outside of the CoachLink USA platform are prohibited.
